#Blogmas Day 1: November Wrap Up

Hello fellow book nerds! I cannot believe we are in December already! Last year I was brand new to blogging and decided to participate in blogmas and I am definitely going to do it again. I was hoping to make a pretty design but that is going to have to wait as I write this on my mother’s laptop because my car is taking forever to get inspected. *sigh*

Anyways- November wasn’t a big reading month for me because I participated in #NaNoWriMo18 and failed. Well, sort of. I did get 31,000 words written which is amazing to me. I never thought I would be able to write that many words for a story. Even though I didn’t hit the 50,000 word goal I am proud of myself. The new goal is to have a first draft completed by the end of the year which should hopefully be doable.

This month was filled with a variety of different ratings for me. I was able to complete 13 books this month, 6 of them being ARCS! Whew… Along that 13 there were 2 books I DNF. I used to not do this at all but there are so many books that I want to read, I’ve decided to consider this more so I can truly enjoy the books I want to.

How many books did you get in this month?

Happy Reading!

      1. It took me a while and there are some days where my focus isn’t there. The key is finding a good narrators to start with and stories that truly interested you. I started with my car commutes and now I listen to them everywhere😁

  1. I have the same struggle with audiobooks! i get up stopping paying attention. I’ve found that short story podcasts work for me, the entire story is done in 30 minutes, i can listen to the whole thing on my commute to work. LeVar Burton Reads is my recent favorite short story podcast.

  2. I only managed 12,000 words for NaNo, so I think 30,000 is great!! you made it over halfway and I think that’s awesome. I’m waiting for Holly Chase to come in the mail from my black friday BookOutlet order! I want to read it this month, I’m glad you liked it!

  3. Congrats on reading 13 books! And you should be really proud of yourself for writing 31,000 words. Taking on that challenge is so difficult, so I admire you for how well you did πŸ™‚
